Alice Channer, Megaflora, 2021, Sand-Cast-Aluminum, 330 × 72 × 47 cm | Courtesy Alice Channer
Successfully presented at the Royal Academy of Arts in London in 2022, Megaflora arrives in an outdoor context for the first time. Its placement in the garden of the Venetian museum accentuates the dialogue between nature and artifice that characterizes Channer's research. The sculpture emerges as a powerful and ambivalent sign, halfway between botanical element and industrial object, evoking the artist's central themes: the transformation of matter, the ambiguity of reality, and the hybridization of natural bodies and technologies.
