Murrina Spirale (Boboli), Renato Toso, 1962, Venice Art Biennale 1962, Fratelli Toso Collection
Fratelli Toso. Stories of Factories. Stories of Families, curated by Chiara Squarcina and Caterina Toso, celebrates the company's 170th anniversary with over 250 works, including glass, murrine, sketches, photographs, and archival documents. The exhibition traces the stylistic and technical transformations of the factory, from its revivalist beginnings to the innovations of the 1930s and 1970s, up until its embrace of design. Also on display are rare examples of Mutras, Marmorini, and goblets designed by Vittorio Zecchin. The initiative is part of the museum's project dedicated to the great families of Murano, with the aim of restoring historical and cultural value to a tradition that has successfully combined entrepreneurship and artistic research.
