The 2026 Venice Carnival adopts the theme Olympus – At the Origins of the Game, in dialogue with the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. The program connects classical myth, Venetian tradition and the cultural meaning of sport. Carnival becomes a collective reflection on play as urban ritual and shared practice.

At Museo Fortuny in Venice, Antonio Scaccabarozzi. Diafanés explores the diaphanous as a spatial and perceptual condition. Lightweight, translucent works engage with the architecture of the palazzo and with the legacy of Mariano Fortuny. The exhibition questions the very idea of the pictorial surface.
